1 It’s only for super fit people.

Many assume you need to be very athletic to paddleboard, but it’s actually accessible to people of all fitness levels. Boards are stable, and beginners can start by kneeling or sitting if needed.

2 You’ll fall in all the time.

While falling can happen, especially when learning, most paddleboards are wide and stable enough that with a bit of balance and technique, it’s easy to stay dry—especially on calm water.

3 It is a full-body workout.

Paddleboarding works your core, arms, legs, and even your stabilizer muscles. Just balancing on the board while paddling gives you a gentle but powerful workout—without feeling like a gym session.

REMINDER: you never have to stand!
