Last week I took a trip to Northern Indiana and explored Summit Lake State Park

with 2680 acres of land, six walking trails and 800 acres of Lake water I had plenty to explore.

The campground hosts electric sites only and several were lakeside. Making it the perfect opportunity for me to slip into the water whenever I chose.

Summit Lake also offers a Paddle challenge within the Lake.

Water Trail one has five spots along the north end of the lake. Trail two has six spots along the south end of the lake.

Each spot will have a sign with a symbol. Like a Way Point along the way. As a paddler your goal is to snap a picture of yourself at each of the stops. Additionally, there are QR codes so you can learn about each of the spots. More than one sign was missing as you can see in the photo below. I reported that to the Park office.

Once that’s completed, you can opt to show your photos at the property office and grab some trail challenge merchandise.

I opted first the sticker of course.

Would you follow me to this property next Summer? I smell a retreat in the works…
